Mechanical Construction for Commercial Projects
Mechanical construction is the core of what we do. Vences Contracting Group provides complete mechanical system installation for commercial buildings — from equipment placement and ductwork fabrication to piping systems and controls integration. We execute mechanical scopes as a qualified subcontractor under general contractor-led projects or directly for project owners.
Mechanical Construction Scope
HVAC Equipment Installation
Supply and installation of rooftop units (RTUs), air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, and split systems. We coordinate with structural teams for proper equipment placement, curbing, and roof penetrations.
Ductwork Fabrication & Installation
Sheet metal ductwork fabrication and installation per project specifications. We manage duct sizing, insulation, and layout coordination to meet design airflow requirements and avoid conflicts with structural and electrical systems.
Piping Systems
Installation of refrigerant piping, condensate systems, and hydronic piping for commercial HVAC applications. All work performed and pressure-tested to code.
Controls & Building Automation Integration
Coordination with controls contractors and BAS (Building Automation System) vendors for thermostat, sensor, and DDC control integration. We ensure all mechanical equipment is properly wired and configured for building automation compatibility.
Ventilation & Exhaust Systems
Design-compliant ventilation and exhaust system installation including kitchen exhaust, restroom exhaust, makeup air units, and energy recovery ventilators (ERVs).
Commissioning & Startup
We manage system startup, functional testing, and commissioning documentation — ensuring systems meet design intent and are ready for occupancy before handoff.
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of commercial HVAC systems do you install?
We install a full range of commercial systems including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, VRF/VRV systems, air handling units, fan coil units, and dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS). System selection is driven by project specifications and engineer of record recommendations.
Do you fabricate ductwork in-house?
We work with qualified ductwork fabrication partners to produce sheet metal duct systems per project specifications. Field installation is performed by our own licensed crews.
Are your mechanical installations code-compliant?
Yes. All mechanical work is performed in accordance with applicable mechanical codes (IMC, ASHRAE standards) and local jurisdiction requirements. We schedule and manage all required inspections through project closeout.
Can you coordinate with the project's BAS or controls contractor?
Yes. We coordinate directly with building automation and controls contractors to ensure proper integration of HVAC equipment controls, including thermostats, sensors, VFDs, and DDC controllers.
Do you provide as-built drawings at project closeout?
Yes. We deliver as-built documentation and O&M (Operations & Maintenance) manuals as part of our standard project closeout package.
